How to crochet the SECOND leg of an intermediate Wooble

so here I have crocheted one of the legs of the bear and now we’re going to crochet the second leg so the first step is to rotate the work so that the leg is on the right side the finish like is on the right side and then the pattern says to count some number of unworked stitches from the finished leg so this means that you’re gonna look for where what’s the first stitch on the side of the body that’s closest to you where there is not already a stitch stitch into it so this one already has the leg joined into it which means this counts over here as the first on work stitch of the body but before we get too deep into counting let’s make a slipknot and put it onto our hook because that is the first step of a slip stitch to join and because the pattern says we’re gonna use this yarn tail to whip stitch the gap in between the legs close we’re going to leave like let’s say a foot of yarn tail so you have enough yarn to be able to do that so let’s make a slipknot put it on the hook and don’t make this Slipknot too tight because then it’s gonna make it really difficult to pull the yarn through the hook later alright so for this pattern in particular it says to put the hook into the 9th on work stitch from the finish like so therefore this is number one because again you can see over here that the leg has been joined to this stitch this is the first one work stitch then 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 here’s 9 so now we’re going to yarn over and then pull it through everything because we’re making a slip stitch then the pattern says to do a single crochet stitch in the same stitch where you just did this slip stitch to join so put the hook right back into the same stitch and do a single crochet stitch here oops nice alright so remember you need to leave this yarn tail alone because we’re going to use it to whip stitch the gap closed so resist the urge to crochet over it to hide the yarn tail and just leave it be and then continue crocheting as you normally would so here’s the second single crochet stitch third single crochet stitch and so on
